MarketWhy make your business more sustainable? Save the earth and money. Tampa has teamed up with the non-profit Sustany Foundation and the Universities of Tampa and South Florida to initiate a Sustainable Business Program. With an initial 10 participating local businesses, the three-month program includes workshops for the business owners, and with assistance from university students in best sustainable practices, results in assessments of operating practices.

At the conclusion, the businesses are given an official city Green Business designation, and includes free publicity and marketing services.
