Elementary school studentsSmall sustainability effort reaps big rewards. This interesting article is about the Grades of Green program, started at an elementary school in 2008 by four moms, and how it has now become a full program with green activities for students.

Grades of Green is now in 237 participating schools, and some schools have been able to reduce their trash by as much as 90%. It’s a great story about a grass roots sustainability program for students has really taken off. See the article as reported in the Beach Reporter.
