Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada (VMSN) was established in 2008 by a group of concerned citizens who wanted to find a way to provide access to health care to the Southern Nevada’s working families.
They plan to use both active and retired health care professionals and lay people to run the care center. In the care center, located centrally, Volunteers In Medicine anticipate having 200 to 300 volunteers and 2-3 medical professionals on site daily. Its philosophy will be to create a “culture of caring.” The care center will initially focus on primary care, pediatrics, prenatal care and social services. Additional services will be added in time.
VMSN will need volunteers with every kind of skill: medical, office, housekeeping, etc. Virtually every job will be performed by volunteers. We hope that you will find a few hours each week or month to volunteer. Please contact us, we will find the right job for you!
